Coverage is the term used for a high-level overview of your screenplay. It is similar to what a studio reader provides to their production company. This short, but insightful report is an evaluation of the script’s strengths and weaknesses. It will reveal holes in the story and other issues that make it unmarketable.

Loglines help focus the story on the action plotline and are 1-2 sentences in length.

A One Page is typically 1-3 pages in length and is designed to entice producers and investors to back a story. It is designed to develop interest in the project without revealing important story elements.

Treatment Analysis
Short treatments are used to drive creative thinking and marketing elements. Full treatments consist of one paragraph for every scene in the film and are used as an outline for the screenwriter. While treatments can be used for promotional reasons, its main use is for fixing the story structure before extensive work begins on a screenplay. It is far easier to fix story problems in the treatment stage than in the script stage.
